As an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, Loren teaches contemporary music genres while emphasizing financial literacy for artists.
She serves as Director of Training and Development for the International Artists League Boston and is the Director of Education at the Boston Jazz Foundation, where she developed a financial literacy program for musicians.
Loren is also the founder of Benn & Company, a music management consulting agency empowering women in the industry.

Loren earned a degree in Biology from Marymount University while pursuing a vocal jazz residency at Grand Annex Studios in San Pedro.
Loren relocated to Boston and attended Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude.
At Berklee, she refined her musical skills while also contributing to the local music scene by performing with Grammy-nominated musicians and entering the world of voice-over work, becoming the voice of Arizona State University's entire online educational library.

Originally from Pasadena, California, Loren grew up in a musical and ministerial family as the eldest of seven siblings. Music was an integral part of her upbringing, and she began performing with her family band statewide from a young age. Her early exposure to music not only shaped her artistic journey but also instilled in her a deep sense of community and purpose that continues to guide her work today.
Loren's diverse musical career has allowed her to collaborate with some of the industry's most respected names, including Grammy-winning artists like Kelly Clarkson, James Blake, and Debo Ray. She has graced the stage at prestigious venues such as The Blue Note in New York, the Rose Parade, and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, as well as holding regular performances at the Westin Copley Place and First Night Boston.
